Alaskan Klee Kai - spitz type breed of dog developed in the 1970s. Resembles Alaskan socks. This energetic, intelligent dog of medium size. This breed was developed in Wasilla, AK. Original name Klee Kai, the current name - "Alaskan Klee Kai" was officially recognized by the American Rare Breed Association (ARBA) in 1995.
It is assumed that the Alaskan Klee Kai is a dog of small and medium sizes. Growth reaches 44 cm. Alaskan Klee Kai come in three color combinations: black and white, gray and white, or red and white. Pure white Alaskan Klee Kai also exist, but this color is not considered standard in the breed. Coat Length may not be so long as to hide the outline of the dog. Alaskan Klee Kai has a double coat; undercoat is short and soft. The outer layer is composed of guard hair.
